HEAD OF DESIGN, LONDON, UK. 2022-PRESENT
FULL TIME. WOMEN’S AND MENSWEAR. MULTI-PRODUCT 

KEY ACHIEVEMENT
Launched sub-brand Labelrail X, a sustainable and premium collaboration program, in 2023.

  • Creating incredible collaborative collections alongside our artistic talent,  across all product categories

  • Implementing design strategies across all creative departments.

  • Managing and motivating the fashion design and graphics and overseeing the management of freelancers where required.

  • Implementing direction for the season across shape, print, fabric and trims

  • Ensuring that design and creative projects are delivered on time.

  • Identifying and actioning new product opportunities with the team

  • Establishing and developing best practices for all creative teams.

  • Plan the vision for seasons ahead through extensive research for future drops alongside the brand founders and design team

  • Managing recruiting, building, developing, and maintaining a strong design team.

  • Point of contact for liaising with external partners, such as videographers, photographers, collaboration and account managers, etc.

 

 

 

KILLSTAR
DESIGN MANAGER, LONDON, UK. 2020 - 2022

KEY ACHIEVEMENT
Received praise and approval from Tim Burton on our MGM Wednesday collaboration collection.

  • Managed a team of five in-house fashion designers, and 20 freelance fashion designers, graphic designers, and illustrators.

  • Implemented and updated the design team's processes

  • Worked closely with development, tech, and merchandising departments to ensure the best product was selected and successfully signed off

  • Produced thorough briefs for the design team, our suppliers, freelance artists, and fabric mills and ensured they were executed on time and in line with our critical path.

  • Developed innovative new ideas that moved the brand forward and stayed ahead of our competition while aligning with our loyal customers

  • Led fittings where with my team, and engineered the best results for our garments, saving costs, time and always sought the most sustainable outcomes.

  • Nurtured and grew the development of my team

  • Successfully led ad-hoc cross-functional/brand-wide projects such as expanding our growing beauty brand Coven Cosmetics and assisted with the sourcing of new suppliers.

SENIOR DESIGNER, LONDON, UK. 2018-2020

KEY ACHIEVEMENT
Leading Lost Ink’s most commercially successful collections to date.

  • Led a design team of 3 designers.

  • Researched around the seasonal brief including travel for inspirational shopping and to trade fairs for fabric sourcing.

  • Prepared and presented relevant research on shapes, colours, fabrics, trims and prints.

  • Created seasonal design strategies in collaboration with the design team and buyers.

  • Managed collections from initial concepts through to production

  • Meticulously led all fabric development, including knit yarns, denim washes, print development, and strike-offs.

  • Ensured my team followed key dates on the critical path, making sure collections arrived in a timely manner.

  • Collaborated with marketing and e-commerce divisions to deliver brand vision.

DESIGNER, SYDNEY, AUS. 2016-2018

KEY ACHIEVEMENT

Designing for their debut fashion week collection, Resort 2019

  • Delivered luxury garments of the highest standard, creating alongside co-founders and Design Directors, designing across multiple product categories

  • Researched trends, implementing the creative direction set by Design Directors.

  • Sketched and toiled designs, for each collection.

  • Created and managed clear and detailed tech packs each season for suppliers.

  • Implemented and managed a meticulous fabric library.

  • Managed and cultivated strong relationships with our suppliers across Europe, South Asia, and South-East Asia.

  • Participated in fittings alongside our Design Directors and head of production, engineering garments to a luxury standard, while continuously problem-solving, and maximising the best practice for the business.

  • Led ad-hoc cross-functional/brand-wide projects such as managing E-com photoshoots, assisting with editorial photoshoots, managing social media platforms
